UPCOMING EVENTS

Hunter College has a long and strong tradition of community outreach. Roosevelt House sustains that tradition through its sponsorship of a wide variety of high level public programs with a focus on timely public policy issues. Its activities include a vibrant book discussion series, lectures and seminars featuring leading figures in public policy and human rights, and programming in cooperation with partner organizations. Recent speakers at Roosevelt House have included His Holiness the Dalai Lama, UN Secretary General Ban ki-Moon, U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan, Under-Secretary General for UN Women Michelle Bachelet, journalists Jonathan Alter and Joe Klein, economists Joseph Stiglitz and Peter Orszag, and historians Alan Brinkley, Hazel Rowley and Edmund Morris – to name a few.
